The Local Authority Trading Company (LATCo) was initiated and developed by the last Conservative administration and we’re proud to see it come into fruition today.

East Suffolk Services Limited (ESSL)will deliver a range of operational services for local communities, on behalf of East Suffolk Council.

We began developing the service in Autumn of 2021 as part of our commitment to seeking the best value for money for residents, businesses and all local stakeholders.

ESSL, will allow East Suffolk Council to directly influence how important services are delivered. It will operate as an ‘arms-length’ commercial business, separate to the Council and it will be responsible for delivering crucial council services such as waste and recycling collection, grounds maintenance and street cleansing.
