Cllr James Mallinder, ward member for Deben recently met with Eyke parish council to discuss funding to support their neighbourhood plans.

Eyke is in the process of having 65 new houses built which equates to a 40% increase in the size of the village. Although not against such developments, they do not want anything of this size again and are still waiting for much needed infrastructure works.

A local neighbourhood plan should prove a welcome addition and a means to push these issues. Cllr Mallinder was only too happy to assist and offer guidance on their plans.
